Miscellaneous papers consisting of four contracts and memoranda of agreement, by which Leighton contracts with John L. Storer, navy agent, Stephen Dunham, merchant, and Arthur McLellan, merchant, all of Portland, Me., to furnish building materials for vessels; deed (1790) by which Richmond Loring and Andrew Leighton, both of North Yarmouth, and Joseph Leighton, of Falmouth, Me., partition among themselves a parcel of land in North Yarmouth; and an undated memorandum of agreement between Andrew Leighton and Eleazar Higgins, on the one part, and Ralph Cross and William Goddard on the second part, by which Leighton and Higgins undertake to build a vessel of 81 foot keel and 26.5 foot beam.
